Dave Raymond Farmer, aged 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025. He was a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and uncle who profoundly impacted the lives of those around him.
Born on May 25, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky, Dave was the beloved son of Hubert and Bernice (Richeson) Farmer. He was a dedicated employee at Strong-Hold, where he devoted 37 years of his life, contributing in various roles over the years. His commitment to the Lord and community service was evident as a member of Mt. Calvary Church, where he served as a treasurer and deacon for several years, fostering a spirit of generosity and support within his congregation.
Dave had a deep passion for fishing and embraced the beauty of the outdoors. Above all, he treasured his family, nurturing relationships with his loved ones and caring for several relatives throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Farmer; his mother, Bernice Farmer; and his sisters, Vanita Goodman and Geneva Hulsey.
He leaves behind a loving family, including sons Dallas Jake (Dannie) Farmer and Jesse Dylan (Kayla) Farmer; grandchildren Damon Farmer, Gracie Farmer, Lula-Beth Farmer, and Cobe Farmer; siblings Richard Farmer, Bonnie Jean (Neill, Sr.) Kahle, and Rodney (Pat) Farmer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 12:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In honor of Dave's memory, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Kosair Shriners Hospital.
Dave will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
