Dave Alan Geaslin

Dave Alan Geaslin, 63, of Searcy, passed away on November 19, 2025, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on November 29, 1961, Dave was the firstborn son of Arnold and Noretta Geaslin. A 1980 graduate of Searcy High School, he was a proud member of the Searcy Lion Marching Band. He later continued his education at ASU–Beebe, earning an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology.

In 1981, Dave married the love of his life, Debbie, and together they built a home, raised their daughter Jacklyn, and shared 44 years filled with devotion, laughter, and countless adventures.

Dave was an entrepreneur at heart always dreaming, building, and pursuing the next great idea. Over the years he owned Geaslin's Grocery Store in Higginson, ran The Color Lab, a photo shop in Searcy, opened a professional photography studio, developed a radio station program still used by many stations across Arkansas, and explored numerous real estate ventures. His creativity and drive were matched only by his willingness to take on something new.

Outside of work, Dave found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing and spending long days on the lake, especially when joined by his grandsons, whom he adored and would do anything for. At home, he was rarely without a project honing his skills in woodworking and home improvement and taking pride in every detail.

For the past 15 years, Dave worked in Information Systems at White River Health System in Batesville. Known for his kindness and easy conversation, he never met a stranger and was highly respected by colleagues. Working alongside his daughter was one of his greatest joys, and among co-workers she was affectionately known as "Dave's daughter." Dave's legacy of generosity, curiosity, and love will be cherished by all who knew him.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughter Jacklyn Prince (Stephen) of Searcy; grandsons Connor and Grayson Prince; sister Karen Williams (Mike) of Searcy; brother Doyne Geaslin (Deleta) of Judsonia; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Noretta Geaslin.

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy on December 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM.
