Larry Jones Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
After graduating high school from Pangburn in 1963, he entered the United States Air Force, where he served his country proudly in the four years he served. He was honorably discharged from the USAF in 1969 and perused construction throughout the remainder of his working career. Later in life, he had an opportunity to retire and spend time supporting and to instilling knowledge to his grandchildren.
He was an avid sportsman that loved hunting and fishing but most of all he loved watching his grandchildren play baseball.
He was born on a cold Tuesday, December 19, 1944, in the Pine Snag Community to the late Leon Jones and Louise Allen Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years , Patsy Lewis Jones, one son, Shane Jones, and his wife, Jerita of Fort Smith, and one daughter, Crystal Jones Abney of Searcy. Four grandchildren, Tyler Jones of Searcy, Tanner Jones, of Florida, Elysa Bonner of Paragould and Benton Abney of Searcy and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a host of extended family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with services beginning at 2:00 p.m., services will be held at West Race Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Sidon Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.
