Funeral services for Mr. Dave L. Hoskins will begin at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with the Reverends Ben Jones and Davey Wilkinson officiating. Service music will be provided by Reverend Reid Vaughn. Interment will follow graveside rites at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Hoskins, 91, of Lauderdale, died May 30, 2025, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian following an extended illness.
Mr. Hoskins was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1951 until 1955 during the Korean War. He retired as an Area Manager for Bridgestone Firestone after a career spanning over 30 years. He was a long time member of Gateway Church in Lauderdale, MS. He was an avid golfer and always enjoyed spending time on the course. He was a member of the Lauderdale 50 plus Club; he also was an avid pet lover and enjoyed caring for his cats and dog.
Dave is survived by his wife of over 24 years, Carole Hoskins; children, Dave Hoskins, Jr. and Bobbi Hernandez (Henry); bonus children, James Cash and Danny Cash (Teresa); grandchildren, Ryan Beck, Joshua Beck, and Kate Beck; bonus grandchildren, Jeremy Cash, Zachary Cash, Cody Cash, Justin Byrd (Sarah), and Rachel McLaughlin (Shane); one great-granddaughter, Sarah Beck; his sister, Linda Grimburo; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mr. Hoskins is preceded in death by his first wife, Barabara Hoskins; his parents, Lawson and Hallie Hoskins; his grandson, Caleb Cash; and his siblings, James Hoskins, Betty Goranovick, and Joyce Hoskins.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Beck, Joshua Beck, Luther Sarton, Ricky Simmons, Joe Cantirino, and Mike Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be George Parks, Bob Ramage, and Earl Turner.
The Hoskins Family suggests memorials be made as donations to East Mississippi Animal Rescue in lieu of flowers.
Family and friends are encouraged to leave online condolences at robertbarhamffh.com.
The Hoskins Family will receive guests from 1:30 PM until 2:15 PM prior to funeral rites in the chapel.
