Graveside services celebrating the life of Mr. Michael Foster "Mike" Parker, Sr. will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery, with Brother Randall Creel officiating. The family will receive guests from 2:00 until 2:50 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church prior to the graveside service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Parker, age 78, of Meridian passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born on June 27, 1947 in Vineland, NJ to the late Foster Lee Parker and Nina Elizabeth Parker Kent. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1965 and then attended Meridian Junior College (now Meridian Community College). He was a founding partner of Fleming, Robinson, Parker, and Goforth Insurance Agency. He took pride in making sure his costumers were properly cared for. Mike was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was also a Mason. Mike was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Mike also enjoyed flying planes and going to them gym - which he faithfully did for fifty years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Charlotte Parker; children, Dana Parker Gault (Jason), Susan Parker Burroughs (Lane), and Michael Foster Parker, Jr. (Jenny); grandchildren, Olivia Cecile Marshall, Ava Marie Gault, Marilyn Sue Gault, Parker Grace Burroughs, Camryn Burroughs, Jackson Burroughs, Zoe Reese Parker, Knox Foster Parker, and Mackson Hayes Parker; siblings, Cathy Parker Feinstein and Carey Parker (Suzanne); and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster Lee Parker and Nina Elizabeth Parker Kent and his brother-in-law, Frederick D. Feinstein.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gault, Lane Burroughs, Matt Hostetler, Jacob Hostetler, Fred Hamilton, Kirby Clark, Braxton Boswell, and Mike Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bebe Roberson and Patsy Gower.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Parker be made to Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson and/or to East Mississippi Animal Rescue.
