David "Dave" Lee Jordan, age 79, of Kaiser, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dave was born on January 22, 1946, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Richard and Betty Jordan. In 1967, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and went on to serve with honor as a Sergeant in the 25th Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged in 1969 after earning numerous commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960), Combat Infantryman Badge, Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Overseas Bar, Expert Marksmanship Badges (M-14 & M-60), Marksman (M-16), and the Good Conduct Medal.
Following his military service, Dave channeled his strong work ethic and craftsmanship into entrepreneurship. He owned and operated Rustic Redwood Signs with his wife, Lori, for 34 years before later opening Dave's Rod Shop, where he specialized in custom hot rod building and restoration. He also designed and freehand painted intricate graphics on motorcycles, showcasing his artistic talent and exceptional attention to detail. His creativity and craftsmanship earned him great respect from fellow car and bike enthusiasts.
Dave will be remembered most for his loyalty, dry sense of humor, wisdom, and his lifelong passion for hot rods and motorcycles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lori (Procter) Jordan; sons Sean Jordan of Eldon, Missouri, and Chris Hull of Wesley Chapel, Florida; sisters Colleen Kress (Larry) and Debby Conley (Mike), both of Waterloo, Iowa; and grandchildren Travis Jordan and Anthony Jordan, both of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Kenna Smith of Lebanon, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty Jordan of Waterloo, Iowa, and his brother, Marc Jordan of Breezy Point, Minnesota.
Friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach.
