Dave Rattan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ruby Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services on Jan. 25, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dave Anshuman Rattan, born on November 10, 1976, in El Dorado, Tacarigua, Trinidad. An adventurous soul with a zest for life, Dave was often the life of the party with his funny anecdotes and contagious laughter. He was a compassionate man, always looking out for the well-being of everyone around him. His loyalty to his friends, family, and his work was unparalleled; his commitment to his loved ones and his profession was a testament to his character.

Dave resided in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey, for 11 years, having previously lived in Levittown, PA. He was a dedicated Home Security Consultant with ADT until his retirement in 2019. He was known for his expertise in his field and his ability to make everyone feel safe. His passions included listening to music and attending vintage car shows, often combining the two for perfect sunny afternoons filled with melody and memories. Dave's adventurous spirit was evident in his travels and exploration of different cultures, but what mattered most to him was his family. His love for them was boundless, and his devotion was the cornerstone of his life.

A devout Hindu, Dave frequently attended the temple, observed puja, and participated in community events. He lived his life according to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, particularly the verse, "Change is the law of the universe. You can be a millionaire, or a pauper in an instant." Dave embodied this philosophy, embracing every change in his life with grace and optimism. He is survived by his loving wife, Nisha, and their cherished daughter, Neelam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sookram and Indra Rattan.

Jenny and Nirry I am so sorry for your loss . I have loads of memories of Anchoo playing in the backyard at the old house in EL DORADO with us girls , often in our pretend school and tea parties. He loved to play with his dog.
To all family and loved ones please accept my condolences and prayers . Hedy Karim

Please accept my condolences on the passing of uncle Dave. So many memories I have in the almost 20 years of knowing him. He cared a lot about his family. He was definitely an entertainer who made everyone around him feel love. Even on his bad days, when I called he would still always ask about my mama and aja and the kids. I would definitely miss the random phone calls about food and our doubles mornings.
Love always, Lini
