David Adams, a dedicated coal miner and construction worker, passed away on December 21, 2025, at his residence on Wendover Road in Hyden, Kentucky. He was a69 years old. Born on April 21, 1956, in Hyden, David lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to his family, and a love for the great outdoors.
David's professional journey in the coal mining and construction fields was characterized by a tireless work ethic and a commitment to excellence. He took immense pride in providing for his family, ensuring they had the means to thrive in a loving environment.
In addition to his career, David had a profound passion for fishing and hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and spend quality time with those he loved most. His joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life were clearly reflected in the cherished moments he spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Deaton Adams, who stood by his side through the highs and lows of life. David is also survived by his two sons, Brian Adams and his wife Lindsey, and Byron Adams, alongside his five treasured grandchildren: Kayla Adams, Madie Adams, Blayne Adams, Gage Adams, and Hunter Adams. Each of them held a special place in his heart and were the source of great joy and pride for him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Oria Adams and Mary Helen Bowling Adams, as well as by his sister, Barbara Patterson, and half-brother, Randy Bowling. The memories of those whom he lost early in life remained close to his heart and shaped the loving man he became.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the importance of togetherness. David Adams will be missed deeply by all who knew him, as he was a cornerstone of strength and support in the lives he touched. As we remember him, we honor a life well-lived, filled with dedication to family, a strong work ethic, and a love for the natural world around him.
