David Dushonne Allen Sr., born on June 3, 1976, in Columbus, Ohio. David departed this earthly life on January 9, 2026 after a strong fought extended illness.
David worked many years in the auto industry along with being a manager with Tim Horton Corporation. David was a faithful member of St. Thomas Baptist Church from a young age into adulthood and in later years joined Mt. Gerizim Missionary Baptist Church. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing and protecting his family and friends. David demonstrated this by his unapologetic love for Superman.
David was preceded in death by his father, Calvin C. Allen Jr. and mother, Verna Allen. Along with his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves behind a dedicated wife, Ayonna Allen. Four loving children, Julian Morris, Shyanne Allen, David Allen Jr., and Davonna Allen. Five grandchildren, Devin Allen, Ni’El Allen, Amara Allen, Markel Allen, and Daylin Fair. Two brothers, Isaiah (Tiffany) Allen and Keith Richardson, two sisters, Katrina Richardson and Keisha Collins. Paternal aunts Rhoda and Jill Allen. Maternal aunts Christine Richardson and Yvonne Duckette. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special friends Richard Armstrong and Michael Guess. Their collective love and support will ensure that David’s spirit remains alive in their hearts.
As we reflect on David’s life, we remember his strength, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and Jesus Christ our Lord. His presence will be deeply missed in our lives. May he rest now in eternal peace.
