Shahbwaughwidung Aquash, "Shah" David Aquash-Jourdain, age 50, of Crystal, MN journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

He was born on October 24, 1975 at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Paul, MN.

Shah is a North American Anisinaabe from Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig First Nation of Walpole Island, Ontario, Canada. His name, Shahbwaughwidung, was given to him by his grandmother, Susan Aquash. She saved his name for her 40 th grandchild which means, "Like the Sound of Thunder Rolling Over the Sky".

Shah accomplished many achievements through his lifetime. He received a Presidential Physical Fitness Award, graduated ahead of schedule, majored in Graphic Art Design and computer science, graduating from Institute of Dunwoody College.

He excelled in football, basketball, baseball and art; in addition, he loved horses, music, fashion, the bible and his Native American People.

Survived by his mother Susan; sisters Laura, Sarah, and Elizabeth; children Shainesty, Shah Jordan, Shahntario, Shahsiah, Keshann, Marley, Santino, Shaiya, Sage and Zhooniyaa; grandchildren Shaitez, Santana and Phoenix; nieces Rachel, Jackie, Tina, Brandie, Sheila, Maleena, Khloe, Mackenzie and Raine; close friends Sileckta and Danielle; bible friends Dave and Bill; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father Nogeeshik and sister Lizzy.

Casket bearers will be Marley De'Dorado Rodriguez; Shah Walker, Danielle Rodriguez, Shainesty Aquash Rodriguez, Santino Rodriguez, Shaitez Aquash, Santana Aquash, Sage Gilbert Rodriguez, Shaiya Gilbert Rodriguez.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Church of Gichitwaa Kateri at 11 AM officiated by Fred Desjarlait and at 1:00 PM officiated by Fr. Stan Sledz.

Interment at 5:00 PM at Gethsemane Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
