David Amby Arbaugh, 74, a resident of Dailey, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by family from his home, to his forever home with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2025.
David was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1950, at home on the Hunting Ground in Cherry Grove, Pendelton County. He was a son of the late Woodford Arbaugh and Leota Warner Arbaugh. He was married to Katherine Elaine Riggleman Arbaugh on August 19, 1972, in Crellin, Maryland who survives.
Left to cherish David's memory are three children, Khristina Croston and fiancé, Chris Meadows, David Arbaugh and wife, Kendra, and Stacy Armstrong, seven grandchildren, James D. Croston, Christopher L. Croston, Micheal T. Croston, Blaine A. Arbaugh, Trevor D. Arbaugh, Brandon L. Armstrong, Khristiann K. Croston, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding David in death besides his parents were two sisters, Ruthalene Arbogast and Linda Ratliff, and two brothers, Gene Arbaugh and Lawrence Sponaugle. David was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
David attended school in Ohio and Delaware. He was a proud member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 132, for over fifty years. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and mushrooming. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful pieces. David spent his free time bargain hunting at Goodwill and thrift stores. David loved his family.
David's request for cremation will be honored with no services. He was under the care of Mountain Hospice and his family would appreciate memorial expressions being sent to Mountain Hospice, 1002 South Crim Avenue, Belington, WV 26250.
