David Donald Axt

Mr. David Donald Axt, 66, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital. David was born June 20th, 1958, in Englewood, New Jersey to the late Donald David Axt and Glorida Maude Behrend.
David Axt grew up in Englewood, NJ. He graduated from high school in 1976. David married Judith Emge in 1979. He worked as a mechanic for various bakeries around NY in the late 70s and early 80s. He and Judith had three children: Alex, Justin, and Jessica Axt during their time in Amityville, NY. They moved to Sharpsburg GA in 1994 for a new opportunity and to live closer to his sister Magda. He continued as a maintenance engineer throughout the rest of his career. He was an active participant in his kid's life helping with baseball, soccer, and as a Boy Scout leader for Troop 55. David enjoyed working on and racing with his 75' Nova and working in his wood shop. Building and fixing things was his passion and instilled that in his children.
David was loved and will be missed by all.
The viewing and service for David is Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, at 5:00 pm at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA 30263. Reverend Dondra Davis will be officiating the service. David has requested to be cremated following the service.

David is survived by his sons, Alexander David Axt of Decatur, GA, Justin Michael Axt of Newnan, GA; daughter Jessica Judith Axt of Newnan, GA; sister Magda Axt of Alpharetta, GA; grandchild Dottie Jossalyn Thompson of Newnan, GA.
