David "Dave" Allen Baker, 77, was called to his heavenly home on March 25, 2024. David was born to Bill and Betty Baker, as their only child, on March 19, 1947 (Kokomo), who preceded him in death.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy (White) Baker, who he recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary with. Alongside his wife, Dave is survived by daughters Jill (Baker) Karnes, Miami, and Kelly (Jack) Buckley, Kokomo. Dave is also survived by grandchildren; Emily Karnes, Mallorie Karnes, Claire Buckley, and Jack Buckley. Dave is preceded in death by grandson, Colton Karnes.
Dave worked at Kolux and Continental Steel until it closed. Dave was then able to open his own car repair shop, 'The Spot Shop,' in his own garage at home, helping many family members, friends, and neighbors. Besides his avid love for cars, Dave also enjoyed watching the Cubs, Colts, IU Basketball, NASCAR, and sprint car racing. There was nothing more he loved to watch than the sporting events of his grandkids-where he attended all of their programs and sporting events.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor KM Lord officiating. Burial will take place at Galveston Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
