David A. Beggs, Sr. 83, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born August 28, 1941 in Port Clinton, the son of Leo and Lydia (Ohlinger) Beggs. He married Sharon J. Zura on October 31, 1959 and she survives. He was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Port Clinton for 45 years retiring in 2005. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, wood working, furniture building, wood carving, fishing and traveling on his motorcycle and in his car.
Surviving are his wife: Sharon; son: David A. (Wendy) Beggs, Jr. of Port Clinton; daughters: Kelly Ann Boreman of Port Clinton, Dianne (Dan) Hepp of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Holly Boreman, Hannah (David) Bonney, Lacy Hepp, and Logan Hepp; great-granddaughter Scarlet Ann Gray Castillo and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law: Jim Boreman; siblings: Helen Kreager, Mildred Taylor, Harold Beggs, Richard Beggs and Hazel Beggs.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Friday, April 25, 2025 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH with visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH or Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
