David is/was a great individual. I Hired him into my group at Lucent Technologies and he kept evolving over the years to become a leading member and a reliable go-to person at the organization. Over the years our professional and personal ties grew stronger and we became very good friends, especially after I moved on to other assignments within the organization. David would call me every Friday to wish me a great weekend no matter what time zone I was residing at. When that recently stopped, I realized that his health was not at the level I recalled.

David is leaving his family, colleagues, friends and the world a significant void. It is our duty to follow his path and keep spreading his legacy as exemplified by his willingness to help and extend his hands and energy to any individual that crossed his path.

David, may you rest in peace. We will always remember and miss you very much
