David Owen Bishop

David Owen Bishop, age 60 of Cloverport, KY passed away December 16, 2025 at his home. He was born in Cloverport on March 6, 1965, son of the late Harold and Ruth Ann DeWitt Mattingly. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with motors, participating in demolition derbies at the fair, cooking and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters Linda Sue Rice and Sherry L. Pinkston.

David is survived by his companion of 17 years Autumn Miller.

3 grandchildren – Hensley Finn, Lakelee Finn and Landon Stewart

9 brothers and sisters – Harold Mattingly, Andy Mattingly, Connie Mattingly, Robin K. Dupin, Samantha Mattingly and Cynthia Blanton of Leitchfield, KY; Randy Mattingly of New Mexico, Billy Newcomb of Lacey Springs, AL and Kristie Moore of Owensboro, KY

Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 3:30 – 7 PM and Tuesday, 10 AM – 12 PM with burial in the Cloverport Cemetery.
