Ishpeming- David W. Bolm, age 61, longtime area resident, passed away on Saturday July 15, 2023 at UP Health System Bell while in the loving care of his family, and hospital staff.
David was born in Chicago, IL on April 2, 1962, son of the late Wallace and Laura (Nicholas) Bolm. He grew up in the greater Chicagoland area and graduated from Hoffman Estates High School with the class of 1981. David worked as a cemetery worker and at McDonalds while living in Illinois, and at SuperOne Foods in Escanaba and Marquette when he moved to the UP.
David loved to help people, and was always willing to give anyone a ride who was in need. He loved to go camping, fishing, and on four-wheeler adventures.
David is survived by his sister- Penny Olson, niece- Erin Lee, nephew- Bill Olson, great nieces and nephews- Rikky Olson, Collyn Olson, Daphne Matrious, his special niece- Courtney Solka, cousins- Gloria and Dickie Shalifoe and family, John Bolm, friends- Kurt "Animal" Anderson, John Bertucci, Nicky and Harley Koski, Brad Stott, Cheri and Brad Dakota, Bill and Carol Hewitt, Darren Webb, along with his dog Miss Frizzle. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law- Rick Olson, and beloved dog who he missed dearly Bear.
Following David's wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of his life to be held at 1:00pm on Saturday July 29, 2023 at the Ishpeming Twp Pavillion.
David's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Joel Dank and Amy Eneffss for the wonderful care they gave to David over the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help out David's niece Daphne.
