Dave Booser passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born in Erie, PA to the late Clinton and Dorothea (Anderson) Booser. He is now reunited with his loving wife, Kathleen "Kay" (Seth) Booser who passed away in 2013 and who he missed every single day.
Dave retired from AMSCO after over 40 years of service. In addition to his full-time job at AMSCO, he maintained his own roofing and siding business. He was an excellent carpenter as well as building additions onto his home, furniture, and his famous "shoot the box" game which he made for numerous family and friends.
Although hard working, he always managed to be the life of the party. He was quick with a joke or smart remark to elicit laughs wherever he went. His "pointydance" became a tradition at all the Seth family weddings. He especially loved his time at the "Club" with his friends.
Dave was a proud Marine who enjoyed golf, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, vacation at Delmonte in the Pines, woodworking, the "Club" and Miller Lite.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Bruce Booser, Audrey Carr, Beverly Gross and Clinton Booser; sisters-in-law, Lois Cowan, Betsy Brown, Joan Fish, Linda Croushore and Susan Teribery; and brothers-in-law, Jerry and William Seth.
Dave "daddy" is survived by his three children, Tammy Hickey (Brian), Kristen Deitrick, and Michael Booser; his granddaughters who lovingly call him "beep", Kaleena Howell (Dan), Karlee Meckey (Kurt), Miranda Deitrick, Jillian Deitrick, and Chloe Deitrick; his great-grandchildren Logan and Lena Meckey, Weston and Xander Howell, and River Vandemerwe; and also many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Dave's family would like to especially thank all the staff at Sarah Reed Senior Living where he resided the last two years. Their excellent care and kindness are greatly appreciated.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. and are invited there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sarah Reed Senior Living, 227 West 22nd Street, Erie, PA 16502.
