You were so excited to greet me at the airport in that suit, the same you wore when you took me to your prom. Thinking of you today and every day. Let´s be honest. Keep it real up there until we crash your party. All my love, always.

David was a hold over in basic training when I arrived. To me it seemed he had been there a thousand years and yet had this indomitable spirit to get past his injuries. He was always a jokester in the bay, and always someone you could go to for a good laugh. Although he had more privileges then us when we arrived he treated us like his counter-part. Never abused the idea that he was above us for being further along in the training. He was always very humble. I remember the day that he was told he was going home. I was around his bunk at the end of the "killzone" and all he had were words of encouragement. Here he was on a day when he had been given the worst news, and all he could do was see the silver lining and tell us that we were going to get through it and succeed. The light at the end of the tunnel was never too far for David, and this world is a slightly dimmer place with out his bright spirit. Gonna miss ya buddy.

I wish I had the right words to comfort you during this tragic loss and difficult time. May you find some comfort in all of the wonderful memories you all shared. My deepest condolences to Marcey, Janice, Dan, and the many other family members and friends who are grieving this loss. Sending all my love.

Fond memories of a young David running around the Palmer farm, helping Grandpa Marcey and taking care of all the pets. Always happy, always helpful and kind. Heartfelt wishes to Janice and Dan and all the Marcey family for the sad and tragic loss of David. Your grief is felt by many.

Sail on across the sky david, I will remember you as one of the few who helped me in my battle with drug addiction. I am sober today with a family of my own, and will always remember how giving and caring you where to me.

David was like a son to me in so many ways. A big part of our lives through our own losses and memories. He will be missed and will always and forever hold a special place in my heart. Not born to me...but brought to me through my daughter who loved him for all he was.

David was someone I could always count on to turn my frowns upside down with a goofy comment or gesture. I will always remember our gossip sessions and heart to hearts. I loved how David was a "cat lady"! My memories of him will be eternally in my heart.

David was so loved by his MTA Sports Center family. He was kind, generous, always willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile. He was a pleasure to work with, and an honor to know. Prayers to his family for peace through this most difficult time.
