Mr. David Matthew Bove, age 69, a resident of Winter Haven passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. David was born May 30, 1954 in Rutland, Vermont to Harmon Joseph and Irene Barbara (Hodar) Bove. He's been a resident of Winter Haven for 40 years after relocating from Burlington, VT. David was a tireless worker in the horticultural industry for the last 30 years where he oversaw many Garden Centers throughout FL. He was an avid sports fan and a former college basketball player at Castleton State in VT. His genial and loving nature will be missed greatly by all those that were fortunate enough to spend time with him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Harmon Bove. David is survived by his 2 sons – Alex (Brandy) Bove of Winter Haven, FL. and Zach (Kristina) Bove of Ft. Myers, FL.; 2 daughters – Devon (Jack) Murphy of Winter Haven, FL. and Angela Fortier of Vermont; 2 brothers – Jake (Gina) Cunavelis of South Burlington, VT. and Perry (Amy) Bove of Burlington, VT; sister – Kiki (Daniel) LeClair of South Burlington, VT.; Companion – Ivey Prieboy of Winter Haven, FL.; 5 grandchildren – Mickey, Abryella, Brynly, Quinn & Elle. A memorial service will be 12:00pm Saturday, July 1st at Kersey Funeral Home.
