David Bowden Obituary
He was the owner of Bowden's Sand and Gravel for over 23 years. David enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, boating, car shows, and riding his motorcycle. He loved listening to music especially our local bands, Scratch 2020, True Soul, Velvet Gypsy, Grace and Grit, and The Real McCoys.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Bowden, Sr. and Betty Jean Bowden, and his sister, Julie Mathias.
David is survived by his wife, Tina Bowden of 42 years and his loving and devoted son, David Allen Bowden, II who shares the same passion for trucking.
He also leaves behind his brothers, Randy Pierce and Walter Lee Bowden, Jr.; sister, Gloria Morrison along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A deep appreciation to his son, David Allen Bowden, II and his nephew, Nicholas (Buddy) Taylor, for keeping the big wheels turning.
A heartfelt thank you to Stan and Lavern West, Kenny and Cora Taylor, Shannon Ingerman, Alex Shavers, Barbara Miller Jones, Chad Hisch, Gregory and Cynthia Washington, Tony Corbin, Priscilla Daniels, and Judy Garrison for all the love, laughter, and friendship he shared with each of you.
A special thank you to Jacob Walker, Curtis Odom, and David Buzier for your friendship over the years.
The memories we share will forever remain in our hearts.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
