It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Sidney Brauss, 61, of Lake Worth, Florida, on June 7, 2024.
He was born September 15, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to Orville and Bernice Brauss. His young life was spent in Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina before settling in Dallas, Texas during his school years. Fond memories were made on numerous family vacations across the country. He achieved the award of Eagle Scout.
David was a God-fearing man who held his relationship to the Lord close to his heart. He showed great care and compassion to all he met and was always willing to offer a helping hand. He embodied his faith by the sincere kindness he shared with others.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bernice Brauss and his brother Stephen Brauss.
David is survived by his loving wife Reisha Persad, father Orville Brauss, brother John Brauss (Patti), sister Elizabeth Afflitto (Eric), nephew Jason Brauss (Karen), niece Sydney Sike (Alex), nephew Nicholas Afflitto, sister-in-law Barbara Brauss, grand-nephews Jay Brauss and Bennett Sike, grand-niece Emersyn Sike, and members of the Persad family.
He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 13, at Trinity Church International, 7255 S. Military Road, Lake Worth, FL 33463.
