David Leroy Brown, 71, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.
He was born February 12, 1953, in Davidson Co, NC, son of the late Roy Wilson and Pat Wilson.
David was a member of Blazin' Trails Cowboy Church. He loved detailing and rebuilding cars. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends on Lake Lookout. David was a real estate broker and licensed contractor. He owned his own business, Precision Tool, as a machinist. God had given him the amazing ability to work with his hands and mind to accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He was a sincere believer in Christ, a faithful husband, a wonderful father, proud grandfather and a loyal friend. He was also a great 'doggie Dad' to Sophie. David worked hand in hand with Sherry as they conducted business and shared life together. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Sherry Lingerfelt Brown; daughter, Angela Futrell (Matthew); sister, Debbie Phillips (David); and grandchildren, Makayla Futrell, Jaxson Futrell, and Landon Futrell.
The family will receive friends 1:30-3:00pm, Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Blazin' Trails Cowboy Church – 1222 Ponderosa Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Harvey Gates, will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, at the church.
Burial will follow the service at Hulls Groves Baptist Church Cemetery, Vale, NC 28168.
