David Anthony Brown

David was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and grew up in Oklahoma. After graduating from high school in 1967, he enlisted in the US Army. He felt very fortunate to be stationed in Germany where he fell in love with Europe, especially Amsterdam.
After serving in the Army, David returned to Tulsa where he attended college, held various jobs, and pursued his lifelong passion as a musician. He married Mary Ann Galbraith in Tulsa in 1984. They remained in Tulsa until 2004 at which time they moved to Mary Ann's place of birth, Springfield, Missouri. David remained in Springfield until his death.
David enjoyed playing golf when he was able. He attended The Venues Church where he was honored to play in the band. He loved life and fought hard in the face of adversity, never giving up.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vera Brown, and his brother Rueben. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, his daughter Natalie Louis and her husband Matt of Dallas, his sister Theona Howell of Tulsa, his brother-in-law Grady Galbraith and his wife Evelyn, a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
David's dream and message was love, peace, joy and equality for everyone.
David's life will be celebrated on November 8th at 2:00 at The Venues, 2616 E Battlefield, Springfield, MO. Please deliver all flowers to the church.
