David Lee Bruce, age 72, lifelong resident of Lapeer, MI passed away on June 19, 2022. He was born on June 1, 1950 in Flint, MI to Glenn Jr. "Buster" and Margaret Bruce. David is survived by his daughter, Jenny (Brian) Howe; step-daughter, Lois Tabit; grandchildren, Brandon Howe, Jayden Howe and step-grandson Sage Tabit; brothers, Glenn III (Lorraine) Bruce and Bryan (Beth) Bruce; sister, Sue (Jeffrey) Avis; nephews, Michael Bruce, Glenn IV Bruce and Anthony Bruce. David is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Jr. and Margaret; wife Alice Bruce, brother Robert Bruce and niece Nicole Bruce.
David lived in Lapeer all of his life and while growing up was a member of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed driving, taking roads trips and in his younger years racing cars at Auto City Speedway. David worked at GM for 30 years on the docks as a Hi-lo driver then went on to drive truck with his brothers until 1998. After retirement he enjoyed pontoon boating, fishing, camping and watching old Westerns. David was also a member of the Elba Lions Club for many years.
Friends may visit on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel. Memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
