David Bruschi

David Bruschi, 71, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Northpointe Terrace Assisted Living with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 5, 1953 in Beloit, WI, the son of Richard and Dolores (Anderson) Bruschi. David was a 1972 South Beloit High School graduate. He furthered his education at Rock Valley College graduating with a Fire Science and Engineering Degree. Dave married Janet Broge on May 23, 1981 in Beloit, WI. She predeceased him on August 11, 2023. Dave was formerly employed by First National Bank, Western Container, and Taylor Freezer for 43 years until his retirement in 2016. In 1971 he began his working career with the South Beloit Fire Department serving as the Deputy Chief for over 40 years. Dave enjoyed photography, hiking, and ducks unlimited. He was a longtime member of the South Beloit Businessman's Hall. Dave was a gentle and kind to everyone. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Bruschi; son, Derek Bruschi; grandsons, Lawton, Alex, Hunter, and Ashton Bruschi; mother, Dolores Bruschi; sister, Karla Bruschi; brothers, Michael (Julia) Bruschi and Timothy (Jill) Bruschi; brother-in-law, Calvin (Rita) Broge; sister-in-law, Theresa (Brian) Popple; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. David was predeceased by his father and wife, Janet. A Visitation of Remembrance for Dave will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday August 24, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. A Private Graveside Service for David will be held in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery.
