David Ellis Bryant, 79, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord on August 28, 2025. David was born on February 7, 1946, in Kern, California to Ellis Truman Bryant and Alma Dorothy Spear Bryant.
David entered the military in 1968 and over his 20-year career moved up the ranks to Major in the United States Air Force. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and after his service he and his wife settled in the town of Lonoke. David met Janice Omelia Raper in the early 1980’s and married in 1985. They had been married 35 years at the time of her passing in December of 2020. David was a devout Christian, loving father, and avid golfer.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Bryant of Lonoke; 3 sisters, Kathy and Larry Cunningham, Betty Joyce, June Brown; sister’s in law, Kimberly and Jake Nielson, Pam and Charles Tosh; brother in law, Johnny and Becky Raper; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Amber Luker, Shelia Tosh, Leeann Hooks, Nathan Cunningham, Jamie King, Jacob King, Karen King, Josh DeLozier, Jennifer Cirjacks, Ray and Lucy Raper, Jessie Tosh, Bob and Kim Delozier, Josh Delozier. David will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
The family will receive family and friends from 5:00-7:00pm, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke.
