David Burns Obituary
He attended schools in Ellsworth and Portland Maine. He was a professional house painter as well as an all around handyman who could fix almost anything.
He had been living in Florida for about 20 years and only moved back to Maine four years ago to be closer to his family. He was happy in his sobriety for the last 12 years and recently became strong in his Christian faith and his relationship to God.
He enjoyed playing card games and outdoor activities like fishing, badmiton and corn hole. He was a kind man who enjoyed helping others and especially liked helping other people in the program stay sober.
He is predeceased by his mother and father and his brother Martin Lerman. He is survived by, his step father Donald Picard, his son, Corey Bowlby, sister Julie Pomerleau and her husband Steve, brother Charles Burns III and his wife Anita, brother James Burns and many nieces and nephews.
The family will gather privately to celebrate his life.
