DAVID ALLEN BYRD, SR., age 38, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home. he was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church, and was a self-employed carpenter. Preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Betty Lee (Lane) Byrd; grandpaw, Clay Byrd; mamaw, Pauline Collett; and aunt, Nita Brown. He is survived by sons, David Allen Byrd, Jr. and Abel Byrd; step-daughters, Emmalee Dick and Karyssa Steele; step-son, Evan Dick; father, David Byrd; mother, Sandra Swearingen; step-dad, George Swearingen; brother, Travis Byrd; step-brothers, Jerry and George Swearingen; nephew, Ethan Byrd; fiancé, Shandra Dick; special uncle, Joseph Berrier; grandfather, Alvin Brown; special friend, Caden McInally; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Fain Cemetery with Bro. Jason Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the David A. Byrd, Sr. Memorial Fund to assist with funeral expenses, made to Farrar Funeral Home, PO Box 1025, Dandridge, TN 37725
