Larry worked alongside his father, Bobbie Byrd, for many years before taking over the family business. He was known for his decades of experience and dedication to B & L Pole Line Construction. After retiring in 2012, he rejoined the workforce a few years later when he took up over the road trucking.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend. Larry loved being a father to his sons, Larry, Jr., and James, and a Boompaw to his grandchildren.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed playing music, riding his motorcycle, golfing, and fishing, which brought him joy and relaxation. He also enjoyed being at the lake playing dominos with his friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Byrd; and brother, Robert “Crash” Byrd.
Larry is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Byrd; his two sons, Larry, Jr. and his spouse, Jennifer, and James and his spouse, Malissa; four grandchildren, Calvin, Jaden, Reagan, and Boston; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Larry Byrd will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
