DAVID LLOYD CAISTER,
58, of Caro died Friday, August 19, 2022 in Windsor Township due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born April 22, 1964 in Cass City to Arthur James and Marjorie Ann (Bader) Caister. He married Rebecca Lin Crittenden on September 30, 1989 in Shabbona Methodist Church.
David graduated from Cass City High School with the Class of 1983. He worked for Snover Stamping, Walbro, and TI Automotive in Cass City and Caro. Together, David and Rebecca attended First Baptist Church of Caro. He was never afraid to try something new like taxidermy and sewing his own shirt. David was a tremendous roller-skater, which is how he and Rebecca met. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a passion for collecting and refurbishing Farmall tractors. David volunteered at the Thumb Octagon Barn in the sawmill and as a shuttle driver. He was loving, compassionate, and always made people smile and laugh. David, in that special Dad kind of way, was an instigator of embarrassing his daughters. He was always generous with big hugs, a helpful hand, and a Love you more .
David is survived by his Love you most wife, Rebecca; children: Jessica (Ivory) Smith, Rachel (Jason) Dow, Jasmine Caister, Rebecca (Dominic Mazzone) Caister; grandchildren: Wiconi, Victoria, Adoro, Crimson, Olivia, Ivory Jr., Amelie, Devin; his mother, Marjorie Caister of Cass City; siblings: Daniel Caister of Cass City, Durrell (Susan) Caister of Bay City, Deanna (Jeff) Schaufele of Deford, Douglas (Andrea) Caister of Cass City; father-in-law, Alvin (Merlyn) Crittenden; brother-in-law, James (Cherryl) Crittenden; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur.
