David Wayne Caldwell

David Wayne Caldwell, 68, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on July 11, 1955 in Cleburn, Texas. He is the son of Cecil Wayne and Lois (Rogers) Caldwell. David went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at River Valley Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Clinton, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.
David met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Melrose "Beth" Hethcoat on April 5, 1975 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors, OU Girls softball, he was an avid OU Fan and enjoyed watching John Wayne Movies. David was a good carpenter, he enjoyed making wooden crosses. Most of all David loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024 at Antioch Christian Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Jeff McDowell will officate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his wife, Beth Caldwell of Elk City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Dawn Caldwell-Baines and her husband, Kevin of Katy, Texas, Krissy Cordell and her husband, Patrick of Elk City, Oklahoma; mother, Lois Caldwell of Elk City, Oklahoma; six grandsons, Ethan Beck of Mustang, Oklahoma, Parker Beck of Elk City, Oklahoma, Timothy Baines and Elijah Baines both of Conroe, Texas, Karson Baines and Mason Baines both of Katy, Texas; two granddaughters, Kaidynce Cordell and Londyn Cordell, both of Elk City, Oklahoma; one sister, Jackie Caldwell of Elk City, Oklahoma, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
David is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Wayne Caldwell; Paternal grandparents, Webb and Lola Caldwell; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Jewel Rogers.
