David Aaron Callan

Dave Aaron Callan, 29, of Branson, MO, was born December 28, 1995 and passed away on July 14th, 2025. Dave was the beloved son of Janet Justice of Branson and John Callan of Monett. He is warmly remembered by his sister Jada Hose, brother Stone Hose, and grandparents Grammy and Papa Nolan, his many caring friends, and his cherished 'Poppy' Callan, along with the rest of the Callan and Nolan clans.
Dave brought joy and energy to everyone around him. With a heart of gold, he always put others first no matter the circumstance. Valorous and free-spirited, Dave lived his life on the edge as a true daredevil. Never dull, he was an adventure-seeker and risk-taker who embraced every experience to the fullest.
As a child, Dave was the sweetest little casanova, bringing smiles to everyone around him with his silly nature and fun-loving attitude. His curiosity about the world was endless. He had a deep affection for animals and was always a polite gentleman. He inherited many of his admirable traits from spending time with his great grandparents, Wilma and James Callan- who he thought the world of.
Dave attended Reeds Spring, Mt. Vernon, and Branson Schools, where he enjoyed playing a variety of sports, including golf and football. He was a talented athlete and quite the showman.
In his free time, he loved hanging with family, jamming with friends, shooting pool, reading Louis L'Amore books, throwing knives, doing acrobatic tricks, dancing, playing board games, hacky sack, and especially being out in nature. He always felt at home in the woods, at any body of water, or in front of a good fire.
Dave's kind and sentimental soul will be deeply missed and never forgotten. He lit up the lives of all who knew him, and will forever be in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
A Celebration of Dave's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at New Liberty United Methodist Church, 11708 State Hwy Z, Monett. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at King's Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been requested to the King's Prairie Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
