David Putnam Campbell failed his saving throw and left the Prime Material Plane on November 24th, 2022.
Dave was born on August 22, 1971, in Lanesborough, MA. He grew up in West Springfield, MA. After graduating from West Springfield High School in 1991, he moved to southern NH in 1993.
When Dave was not slaying dragons, he was rooting for the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New York Yankees. Dave's other hobbies included tabletop gaming, playing street hockey with the DeFosses family, reading fantasy novels, and cooking out with family & friends. He loved all things Middle-Earth.
However, Dave’s favorite pastime was passing on his love of Dungeons & Dragons to his daughter who is quite the active player now.
Dave made everyone's life better for all who knew him, and he will never be forgotten.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Heather Campbell of Franklin; his sister, Cathy Simpson and husband Andy of Deering; his brother, Jimmy Campbell of Springfield, MA; his nieces, Toni Howes and husband Marc of Penacook, Jennifer Carchide and fiancé Hope of North Conway, and Jessica Bailey and husband James of Hillsboro; his grandnieces and nephews; and his best friend, Eric Melcher and wife Carolyn of Manchester. He also leaves behind his ex-mother-in-law Colleen Collette of whom he was fond of, and his ex-wife, Hollie Campbell.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Judith Campbell; his brother Jerry; and his sister Lisa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH 03303 on Monday, December 5th 5:00pm–7:00pm.
