With solemn reverence, we commemorate David James Carlton in Magna, Utah, whose life came to an end on November 12, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. He married Donna Caldwell on January 24, 1970. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 4, 1976. He worked at Kennecott for 22 years, worked at the LDS church 20 years, and he was a Cub Scout leader for 33 years. He loved hunting, camping, and fishing with family and friends. Hobbies included leather work, gardening, and building model planes. He developed a love for finding unique rocks for his yard! His love for waterfalls & plants made his yard a forever changing beauty!
He was preceded in death by: his parents, David Anthon Carlton and mothers, Velma Curtis & Betty Jane Vogel Carlton; his daughter Becky Carlton, and grandson Jayson Carlton. He is survived by his wife Donna Caldwell Carlton; their children, Nina Glaab, Jay (Shauna), Kevin (Heather), David James Jr. (Olivia), Jeremy (Jillian); Twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Viewing & funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM with the funeral at 12:00 PM to 1 PM followed by graveside dedication.
