David Carrick, 82, of Chadron, Nebraska, passed away on May 27, 2025. Born and raised in Chadron, he began his working life on the family dairy farm and later founded a successful auto and wrecker business in 1991.
David married Mary McHenry on June 5, 1966. Together they raised two sons, Tim and Dave Jr. He loved hunting, fishing, caring for animals, and spending time with his family—especially watching his sons play pool. He was known for his warm smile, good humor, and deep devotion to those he loved.
A priest in the Community of Christ, David served his faith and community with care and kindness.
He is preceded in death with his father, Everett, his mother, Ruth, his wife, Mary, and his two sisters Judy and Rosemary. His immediate family is his two sons Dave Jr. and Tim, daughter-in-law Marcia, and granddaughter Sara.
A memorial service will be held on June 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Chamberlain Chapel.
