David Eugene Carter, Jr. was born on August 8, 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee, the only child to Patricia Delores McKissack and David Eugene Carter, Sr. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Tri-Star Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Gwendolyn Lane; and grandfather, Jake Lane, Jr.
David was baptized at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School system graduating from Whites Creek High School. He was employed for many years as a cook at various establishments in the Nashville area.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Patricia Delores Carter McKissack; aunts, Sandra Lewis, Ramona Moore; uncles, Ronald Lewis, George Lewis; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
