A graveside service for David Lee Chapline, 82, of Burleson, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2025 in the V.O and Myrtle Schneider Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jace Addison officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery with Jason Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Nick Carpenter, Caleb Chapline, Justin Reagan, Ryan Strobel, Richard Mooney and Jeffrey Mooney serving as pallbearers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-11 a.m., Monday, prior to the service.

David Lee Chapline passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Fort Worth. He was born in Houston on October 26, 1942 to Charles and Fannie Chapline. He married Nelva Bodine in 1982 in Oklahoma City.

David graduated from SWAU in 1979, and earned his Master's degree in counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton in 1990.

David was a member of Joshua Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Church. His favorite pastime was daily studying Bible Prophecy. He also enjoyed Ham Radio, electronics, genealogy, and quilting. David was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jimmie Chapline, siblings, Charles, Bill, Paul, James, Ralph, Juanita, Pat, Ruby, and Martha.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Nelva; son, Billy and wife Deborah of Palestine; two stepdaughters, Koni Mooney and husband Rick of Mena, Arkansas and Lisa Carpenter and husband Jason of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
