David Lee Christman, 79 of rural Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at Legacy of Bucyrus following a battle with Dementia. David was born December 19, 1944 in Bucyrus to the late Richard Harry Christman and Eleanor Clare (Feighner) Christman. He was married September 26, 1970 to Kathie (Morgan) Christman who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Richard Allen Christman and Robert Gerald Christman.

David is also survived by son David Christman II of Mansfield; daughter Kellie (Dan) Doyle of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren Cody and Alex (Mikala) Christman and Hannah, Ryan, and Emily Doyle; great grandchildren Arik and Madilynn Christman; sister Jeanette Cudmore of Arlington, TX; 

David graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1964. He worked as a Police officer for Bucyrus in the 1960’s and later for United Church Directories in Galion as a photographer. David retired from the Crawford County Clerk of Courts office after 17 years. He enjoyed motorcycles, doing genealogy, lifting weights, and running to keep in shape.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Clyde Bates officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
