David Dominic Cianciolo, 47, of Sandown, NH passed away unexpectedly on December 7th, 2024.
Dave lived life with a quiet, infectious smile. A smile for him, for you, for anyone and everyone lucky enough to know him.
Dave was born on May 19th, 1977 at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Dorotea and the late Carmen Cianciolo who raised him with all the love, care, and incredible Italian cuisine that any child could ever desire.
Dave was the youngest of his siblings, Nancy and Joseph. Dave grew up in a wonderful neighborhood, riding bikes, playing sports, and capture-the-flag on warm summer nights amongst friends too numerous to count.
In 2003, Methuen, Massachusetts, Dave married Erin (Buja) Cianciolo because her strength and intelligence are matched only by her gentle humor and tranquil grace. They lived together for twenty-one years in Sandown, New Hampshire, in a tight knit neighborhood surrounded by dear friends.
Dave and Erin have three amazing children: Gavin, Julianna, and Brady.
Gavin takes after his father in his intelligence, handiness, and love of music. He is studying to become a computer engineer and will no doubt drive innovation in the future.
Julianna, with her father's sense of humor, is the funny one, but she's also intelligent, artistic, and compassionate, all of which will serve her well in whatever healthcare field she chooses to grace.
Brady has his father's drive and diligence, is intelligent in his own right, and is a workhorse at both school and gym. Whether he becomes a swole engineer or a jacked lawyer, he's vowed to have a pet dog alongside keeping him company.
Dave graduated from UMass Lowell in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in plastics engineering. After fifteen more years of steady, diligent work, he achieved his master's degree. He worked at Parlex, Velcro, DEKA, then reattached to Velcro. Dave worked in R&D, innovating and solving difficult industry problems he would occasionally explain but which most of his friends couldn't begin to understand. His colleagues were like family to him and he loved them dearly.
Dave was a great friend. He loved joking, laughing, and making others laugh. It was one of his great gifts and many strengths. He could fix anything. Dave loved watching the Celtics, attending Foo Fighters concerts, beekeeping in his backyard, family vacations to the Cape, Indian cuisine, his kids' cooking, and teasing his wife of twenty-one years.
David is survived by his wife and best friend, Erin and their children, Gavin, Julianna, and Brady; his mother Dorotea (Faulisi) Cianciolo; his sister Nancy and her husband Michael Antonietti, his brother Joseph and his wife Jennifer Cianciolo; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Don Buja; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Kristen Buja; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He will be missed.
Calling hours are Thursday December 12th, 2024 from 4-7 at the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH 03053, with cremation to follow.

Paths do not cross without a purpose....the love and support David, Erin, Gavin, Julie and Brady gave to my son and I during an especially trying time, will now be returned ten-fold. Such a wonderful caring family. David always smiling and kind...both traits passed on to his 3 beautiful children. Praying for peace for you all.

Dave started at DEKA at about the same time I did back in 2007. He was always in a good mood, with a wry smile and wit like he just heard (or more likely just told) a great joke. He was great at his job, and I would often seek his council on how to best make a plastic part, as I was new to designing plastic parts at that time.
My family and I also live in Sandown, and we would bump into Dave and his family often, usually at little league games, or other family activities in town. I recall his love and devotion for his wife Erin and his family, his determination to introduce his hobby of beekeeping to everybody he met, and his passion for his invention "The Sprizzler" - the best way to properly enjoy honey.
We need more of Dave's happy, no-worries attitude in this world.
Dave, you will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

I first met Dave when he and I were both 13 years old. We sat next to each other in class every single day for four years of high school. He was the nicest person I met in a new school where I was terrified. I´m thankful for Dave´s friendly face every day as I navigated the uncertainty of high school. Unusually, he always had the calmest voice (always with good humor) in the calamity of high school. Ms Pinet always loved you, Dave. I´m so sorry for the strife you must have experienced and sincerely hope you´ve found peace.

Finding the right words to express the deep sadness we feel over the loss of Dave is incredibly difficult! As a devoted husband and loving father, his warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. The love he shared with Erin and the beautiful family they built together stands as a testament to his gentle heart and unwavering care.

While we grieve the unimaginable pain he endured, we also choose to honor the countless joyful moments and cherished memories he created with his family. Dave´s legacy lives on through his amazing wife, Erin, and his incredible children-Gavin, Julianna, and Brady-who carry forward his love, strength, and spirit.

Rest in peace, Dave. You will be forever missed but always remembered.

With love,
Uncle Lou and Auntie Jo

Erin and Family so saddened to hear this news. Dave always had a smile and something to share about the kids, bees, or what he'd been tinkering with.
