David Cobb Obituary

He was born December 25, 1954, in Girard, the son of Calvin and Regina (Schreuer) Cobb. He grew
up in rural Walnut and graduated from Uniontown High School. He worked at various companies in the area. David had a passion for music early on learning guitar, bass and pedal steel. He performed with other musicians in the area and at festivals. He was a member of the AFL-CIO and The Pedal Steel Guitar Association. David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Cobb. Per his wish, David was cremated, and his ashes will be spread at the family farm outside of Walnut, KS. A stone was placed on the family plot in the Girard Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 22, at the Girard Library at 128 W. Prairie Ave., Girard, KS 66743 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Please park in the North Parking lot and enter from that area. A map and location of the grave site will be provided for those wanting to visit the cemetery at 807 S. Carbon Street, Girard, KS.
