David Allen Cobb

Mr. David Allen Cobb, age 82, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home.

He was born to Daniel D. and Faye Louise Little Cobb on September 7, 1943, in Arden, Arkansas. He married the love of his life, Laura Kathleen Huddleston, on May 15, 1971, in Wilton, Arkansas. David served in the United States Air Force and was a maintenance mechanic for the Ashdown Papermill. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilton, a former president of the VFW – Ashdown Chapter, Co-Chief of Yarbrough Volunteer Fire Dept., he loved mowing, baseball, telling stories, traveling, his family, and most especially his granddaughters.

David is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, James Roland, Daniel Calvin, Patsy Waren, Donald Ray, and Billy Bob.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Laura Cobb of Ashdown; two sons, Jeff and Rhonda Cobb of Little Rock, Arkansas; Chris and Kristi Cobb of Texarkana, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Alexis Cobb of Chicago, Illinois and Violet Cobb of Little Rock, Arkansas; one great granddaughter Eleanor Baker of Chicago, Illinois; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends; as well as, David's special little buddy, his pet, Jaxon Montana Cobb, the best little Bichon ever.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. David Cobb will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 9, 2026, in Arden Cemetery with Bro. Chris Clayton, officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the funeral home.
