David George Coleman, age 85, of Brighton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025.
Born on November 25, 1939, in Pontiac, Michigan, to loving parents Frederick and Edith Coleman, Dave was the cherished older brother of Bruce Coleman.
He graduated from Pontiac Central High School and later pursued his passion for technology and computers at RETS. Following his studies, Dave moved to California, where he spent nearly three decades building a successful career in the technology field.
After retiring, Dave returned to his roots in Michigan, where he continued to live a life full of meaning, connection, and faith. He had a zest for life and enjoyed the open road on his motorcycle. He was an active and devoted member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, finding camaraderie and purpose among fellow riders.
Dave's deep Christian faith was central to his life. He was a longtime parishioner at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brighton, where he not only worshipped faithfully but also gave back as a Stephen Minister. He opened his heart and home to others, regularly leading Bible studies and offering spiritual support and encouragement to all who sought it. His quiet strength, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on many.
Dave was known for his gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved brother Bruce (Diane) Coleman; adored uncle of Christine (Matthew) Hapeman, Carrie (Jim) Coleman, Christopher (Gaby) Coleman, Craig (Rachael) Coleman, and Amanda Coleman; and cherished great-uncle of Katie Horning, Anna (fiancé Max) Horning, Cecilia Coleman, Christian Coleman, and Tenley Coleman. He also leaves behind his loyal companion, Kirby the dog, as well as many beloved cousins, extended family members, lifelong friends, and dear neighbors.
Dave touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
