Kay "Robin" Coleman, age 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jackson, Michigan, on March 26, 1965, to the late Peggy Jean Coleman and Antonio Domingo Sanchez.
Kay was a kind and gracious soul, full of compassion and generosity. Deeply spiritual, she found purpose and community in the Narcotics Anonymous (NA) program, where she remained clean for 30 years and 6 months before passing. With a deep understanding of the 12 Steps, Traditions, and Concepts of NA, Kay touched lives across Tennessee, Atlanta, and Louisville-sponsoring many who remain clean today. She did her service work in Midtown and Southside Atlanta areas of NA. Kay continued her recovery in Louisville, where she was a beloved member of the Agave Group, offering strength, wisdom, and warmth to all who knew her.
Kay was an independent contractor who loved her work. She found peace in her beliefs, love in her family, and joy in the company of her friends. Her collection of Cadillacs was a testament to her style, her independence, and her appreciation for craftsmanship.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her children, Sunique "Punkin" Smith and Darryl "Boom" Starr, sister, and Michelle Stiles. She is survived by her brother, Mike (Michele) Metcalf, nieces and nephews, Rachael and Travis Metcalf, Mykle Alen, Mykel Max and Abigail Stiles; Brittney, Bently, and Benson Edging. Sons: Torious Starr and Keon Delanoval, grandchildren: Kenna Devonval, Toriyah, and Cayden Starr. Lifelong friends: Paula Boyd and Stephanie Carter, as well as many other close friends and chosen family who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, Louisville, KY 40299, with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM.
