July 23, 1934-October 15, 2025
Today, Heaven received a beautiful angel. Doris Lincoln went to our Heavenly Father.
Doris Lincoln, 91, wife of the late Bernard Joseph Lincoln, who passed away in September 1982. Doris was born in Louisville, KY, July 23, 1934, to the late Sylvester Lawrence Hill and Elizabeth Christine (Meyers) Hill.
She was a founding member of the Contract Bus Services and was a bus driver for Jefferson County Public Schools for 35 years she was also a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church.
Doris loved working in her yard, caring for her flower garden. She also loved cooking for her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her 6 children: Virginia Marie Mangum (David), Therese Louise Adkins, Patrick Scott Lincoln (Carol), Daniel Carroll Lincoln (Linda), Timothy James Lincoln (Martha) and Mary Cecilia Spalding (the late Franz Spalding). Also, her sister Evelyn Gallusser. Doris also leaves behind 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all.
In addition to her husband of 30 years, Bernie, Doris was preceded in death by her siblings Martha Owens, Frankie Mills, Sister Patricia Hill, SCN, Elizabeth Raque, Vera Heckman, Sylvester Hill, Edward Hill and Jerry Hill.
The visitation will be held at Ratterman's Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Monday, October 20th. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Ave, 40204. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
