David Coleman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc. - Harrison City on Jan. 19, 2026.
David Gary Coleman, 76, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Hempfield Manor in Greensburg. He was born on February 9, 1949, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Wade and Lillian (Brady) Coleman.

David was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Division. He spent many years as a truck driver and was a dedicated member of the Teamsters Union. Later, prior to his retirement, he worked as a custodian for the Woodland Hills School District. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and had a natural gift for singing. He especially enjoyed watching his granddaughters' soccer games and cheering them on from the sidelines.

Above all, David cherished time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his granddaughters brought him endless joy and pride. He treasured every moment with them and loved watching them grow.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his son, David (Meghan) Coleman; his daughter, Sara Coleman; and two granddaughters, Shannah and Hallie. He is also survived by two brothers, Dennis (Karen) Coleman and Daniel Coleman, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with private interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. Arrangements are entrusted to Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, P.O. Box 465, Harrison City, PA 15636 (724-744-2721). Online condolences may be shared at www.Lindsay-JobeFuneralHome.com.
