Ernest Serbernak

Ernest Serbernak, 98, of Claridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Newhaven Court at Lindwood. He was born on March 28, 1927, in Penn Township, to the late John and Erma (Reger) Serbernak. Ernie is survived by sisters-in-law, Doris Natale and Patricia Slifkey; nephew, Barry A. Visnic; niece, Tricia L. Slifkey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Jennie (Slifkey) Serbernak; two sisters, M. Marie Whiteman and Erma Serbernak; and two brothers, Joseph and John Serbernak. Ernie was a proud WWII Navy veteran and retired from Overly Door Company after many decades of employment. His family would like to thank Bridges Hospice nurses and aides for their wonderful care. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, in the Woodlawn Cemetery - Denmark Manor.
