Janice "Tweedy" Maize

Janice (Tweedy) Maize, 74, of Delmont, passed away in the evening hours of February 9th, 2026, at UPMC East in Monroeville. She was born January 14th, 1952 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late William and Ruth (Frost) Tweedy. She is also preceded in death by her sister Ruth Ann (Lee) Anderson, her brother William Tweedy, her niece Christine (Phil) Heider, and her nephew Billy Tine.

Her past careers varied, from hair stylist to driving school bus. Most recently she enjoyed being employed at Redstone as their weekend receptionist. She became close with many of the residents and kept in touch with them even after retirement. She volunteered at her church's food bank when she was able. She was an avid reader and could be found awake in the wee hours just to get to the end- stating she had to know how it ended. She loved eating out at various restaurants with the company of friends and family.

Janice was a devoted sister to her brother Tom (Sandy) Tweedy of Murrysville, and her sisters, Marianne (Fred) Caputo of North Huntingdon, and Karen (Jim) McLean of Murrysville. She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend Betty Bell, whom she enjoyed spending time with and attending church with every Sunday.
