Mr. David Lee Collins, age 70, of Springfield, died on Monday, October 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:30 pm at Mt. Sharon Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service at 3:30 pm at Mt. Sharon Church.
Mr. Collins was born on May 12, 1955, in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his Mami who raised him, Dola Wheless, his daughter, Brenda K. Collins, and his brother, Robert Collins. David loved being with his family. It was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed being with his family so much that he had nicknames for each of his family members and loved to joke around with everyone he came in contact with. He loved mowing the grass and tinkering with lawn mowers. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing, and especially deep-sea fishing.
Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherry Krantz Collins of Springfield, daughters, Angela (Brandon) Landrum of Springfield, Amanda Collins (Chis Duke) of Adams, brothers, Jim (Sally) Collins of Southside, TN, John (Brenda) Collins of Greenbrier, grandchildren, Alexandria Nicole (Dylan) Dunford, Savannah Wilkerson, Sarah Duncan, and Tanner Landrum, great grandchildren, Rilynn Landrum, Braley Davis, Spencer Landrum, Waylyn Davis, Collins Dunford, and Asher Duncan, and his most faithful dog, Penny.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
