David Marshall Comstock

David Marshall Comstock, age 90, of Wichita Falls, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 31, 2025, in Wichita Falls. He was born on September 11, 1935, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and lived a life marked by service, hard work, faith, and deep love for his family.

David served honorably in the United States Army, proudly wearing the uniform of the 101st Airborne Division during six years of active and reserve duty. His commitment to service carried through his civilian life, where he worked for many years as a truck driver with Melody Homes. Later, he returned to his roots and his true passion-farming in Charlie, Texas-where he became a respected commercial grower known for Comstock Peaches, pecans, and produce.

David was a proud member of the Wichita Falls Maskat Shriners and a 32nd Degree Mason, organizations that reflected his dedication to brotherhood, charity, and service to others.

A man who loved the outdoors, David found great joy in fishing and hunting, embracing God's creation with gratitude and skill. He was a Bible-believing Christian, a man of quiet strength and integrity who earned the respect of all who knew him. Remarkably well read and endlessly curious, David possessed a sharp mind and a love for learning-earning a reputation as someone you never wanted to compete against in Jeopardy!.

David was preceded in death by his father, Wm. Comstock; his mother, Julia Comstock; his son, David "Bret" Comstock; and four brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Comstock; his daughter, Pamela Greenroyd and her husband Weldon Nichols; his stepson, Britton Ouellette and wife Brittney; his cherished grandchildren, Lleyton Ouellette and Avery Ouellette; as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service for close family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas.

David's life was a testament to faith, perseverance, service, and love-leaving behind a legacy that will continue to bless those who knew him.
